Job Title: SEN Teacher Location: Barnet Salary Range: £150 to £210 per day (Depending on experience) Start time: January 2025  Are you a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teacher looking for an opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of students with special educational needs? GSL Education 'London Branch' are seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join a school in the beautiful areas of Barnet in January.  About the role: As an SEN Teacher, you will develop and implement individualised lesson plans for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), severe learning difficulties, and complex health and care needs, ensuring an inclusive and supportive classroom environment. You will assess and monitor each student’s progress, adapting teaching strategies to promote their academic and personal growth. Collaborating closely with healthcare professionals and support staff, you will help students build essential life skills and enhance their overall well-being. About the School: The school helps students aged 11-19 with autism, severe learning difficulties, and health needs. They focus on providing a safe and welcoming place for high-quality education. Their caring staff work together to support each student and help them reach their full potential. Responsibilities of the SEN Teacher: Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs. Deliver high-quality, differentiated instruction to students with SEN. Work closely with classroom teachers to create an inclusive learning environment. Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies as needed. Provide support and guidance to Teachers and other staff working with SEN students. Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers about student progress and needs. Stay informed about current best practices and developments in special education. Requirements of the SEN Teacher: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in special education. Experience working with students with ASD, severe learning difficulties, and health needs Strong understanding of SEN best practices and legal requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting all students. Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
