Job role: AV Lead Engineer Remuneration: £30,000 to £40,000 (subject to experience) performance-related bonus company van pension scheme About Cyberhomes Cyberhomes is a UK leading installer of smart home integrated technology and premium private cinemas. Our home cinema rooms and luxury whole house integration installations have won numerous industry awards. Based in Oxfordshire, our projects span across the UK and also internationally including Europe and the Caribbean. About You This is a great opportunity for an exceptional engineer with a demonstratable passion for the AV industry. You will have at least three years of relevant experience and a ‘can-do’ attitude for problem solving. Ideally you’ll be based in west London near our Ealing office or anywhere up the M40 corridor towards our head office in Thame. You thrive on all things audio visual and are overflowing with knowledge of video and audio distribution as well as programming and installing cinema rooms. You will be both office and site based according to project requirements for the day and you enjoy a fast-paced environment even when working under pressure. You will report directly to the Cyberhomes directors and regular project progress meetings will take place either in person or via video call. A full, clean driving licence is essential. You will have expertise in: Lutron lighting control Control4 programming IT and network infrastructure Best practice for AV installation standards Also desirable: Savant programming KNX integration Key Responsibilities Installing, configuring, and testing audio-visual systems in our workshop and on client premises Providing on-site support and troubleshooting for AV systems Conducting regular maintenance and upgrades on existing systems, including accurate tracking of clients’ installed technology and software/firmware versions Work with support technicians and colleagues to diagnose and resolve issues with clients’ technical issues Providing training and guidance to clients on the use of AV equipment Ensuring all current projects are completed to brief within the required timescales Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and be able to prioritise workload to ensure projects remain on schedule Be proactive in suggesting new methods, technologies and techniques to improve efficiency, system performance and reliability
