Refresco UK To work closely with the Area Manager, taking complete responsibility & ownership for delivering daily and weekly performance targets. Continuously work to improve the performance of People and Plant to deliver site efficiency and performance standards. Provide ‘hands-on’ leadership to direct reports ensuring the process runs efficiently, providing support and encouragement in team problem solving at the earliest opportunity. Develop the understanding, urgency and motivation of your team members to maximise their own skills to become proactive and focussed on delivering expected individual and team performance results. Implementing Hygiene and Housekeeping standards/rules to ensure we are ‘Audit Ready’ at all times, ensuring all paperwork, quality and cleaning records are 100% accurate. To have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the process, plant and machinery and associated equipment relating to the Materials Management operations. Responsible for 100% of the units inbound and outbound palletised raw materials and Finished Goods movements during a shift. Through a right first-time mentality, you will meet or exceed your supply chain targets. An essential part of the role is to ensure customer orders are picked and despatched with no compromises to quality through management of your team. Process: • Ensure the Syrup room department and ingredient stores are Audit ready at all times • To be responsible for ensuring that first time quality is always a priority, and that quality is never compromised, instilling this mind set into the rest of the shift team to achieve quality targets. • Responsible for correct outputs and quality of product • Plan the day-to-day operation of the lines anticipating situations that could impact our ability to meet the production plan, i.e. (equipment failure, material or product specification problems) • Identify training and development needs of the Team to ensure effective training, which has a clear benefit to achieving quality and production targets. • Ensure that production information is recorded accurately and on a timely basis, using SAP / other systems to capture Yield, Quality & safety issues and Daily Production output reporting. • Ensure the processes and operations in your area are carried out effectively and at the appropriate time, maintaining a ‘Right First Time’ quality mind set in all operations • Conduct your operating duties following specific SOPs for the specific task. • Follow set production programmes, understanding the importance of running to plan, meeting our PVA targets and the potential impact on customer service • Proactive involvement and completion of project work as specified by your FLM • Ensure all areas have a correct up to date programme with the relevant specifications, Pack Spec and End of Line information. • To ensure effective Product and line Changeovers by forward planning, preparation, and organisation of resources. • To collaboratively work with the warehousing functions Supply Chain: • Maintaining visibility on the shop floor, driving performance of your team and support functions to deliver raw materials to meet the production plan and fulfil customer orders to a timed daily loading plan with variable lead times (From receipt of order to despatch). • Manage teams through a recognised appraisal system to develop and drive performance by providing quality feedback and creating development plans. • Use Business Objects reporting system, Warehouse Management systems, SAP and others • Manage daily workload by successfully planning, prioritising and deliver through effective communication • Collation of key facts in preparation of shift handover, ready for oncoming shift • Prepare, attend and contribute to Team meetings, Health and Safety, and disciplinary meetings • Seek out new and innovative ways to deal with changes to internal and external customer requirements. • Meet and greet customers and lead customer/audit visits • The ability to drive and operate MHE to a high standard of proficiency People Management: • Plan and manage the most efficient utilisation of the labour resources available to you, whilst delivering within budget. • Ensure high driving standards for Mechanical Handling Equipment at all times. • Execute the shift training plan to improving performance / flexibility, and organise any additional training through gap analysis that may be required • The ability to manage Attendance/ Absenteeism/ good timekeeping / Probationary reviews, working with the HR department to highlight any personnel issues and resolve them. Maintain good employee relations • Actively engage with the shift team to solve business problems, drawing on the expertise and talent on the shift. • Challenge under-performing individuals – set improvement criteria & timescales, using disciplinary process as appropriate to tackle persistent issues. Safety Management: • Ensure compliance to all site Health and Safety Regulations • Proactively support the Site HS&E Agenda • Complete Incident / accident investigations at the time of event aspiring to elimination of root cause • Carry out Risk Assessments Quality Management: • Proactively support / contribute to the Site Quality Agenda. • To deliver the standards as defined by BRC, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. GMP / 5S & Hygiene • Provide in a timely manner trial materials for new products and manage the launch of the products into storage in the warehouse and then onto the customer. • Preparation for audits and customer visits • Complete NCR’s as per company procedure and carry out investigations at the time of event aspiring to elimination of root cause. Ensure control of stock from customer if issue established and then manage through a rework process if appropriate • Ensure compliance to the Refresco Quality Management System
