Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Scunthorpe
Salary: £83.33 - £95 per day
Type: Full-time, Term-time only
Working Hours: 08:30 - 15:30, Monday to Friday
Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a Special Needs School school in Scunthorpe. This is a full time and long term role with the possibility of this role going permanent for the right candidate. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will provide support to students with SEND, make a real difference to the lives of young students and work closely with teachers to ensure students receive the necessary support to excel academically.
Responsibilities:
Offering support to students with their studies, including one-to-one. Support pupils with complex needs. Building and maintaining strong relationships with students, parents, and staff. Providing guidance and support to students, ensuring their welfare is protected. Contributing to the development of school policies and strategies.Requirements:
Previous experience working as a teaching assistant, working within care or support roles. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. The ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and staff. A caring and nurturing personality. A strong understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures. A valid DBS check.This is a term-time only role, making it an ideal opportunity for those seeking a role with more flexibility to balance work and childcare commitments. The role is to start in November 2024 and likley to last until Easter 2025.
