Job Purpose: As a Hygiene Supervisor, youll lead and manage hygiene standards to meet all food safety and legal requirements. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual with supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting who is committed to upholding top hygiene, safety, and operational standards. Key Responsibilities: Health, Safety & Hygiene: Act as a role model for safety and hygiene. Immediately report and address incidents, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions. Team Leadership: Assign, prioritize, and oversee work to ensure production schedules and quality standards are met. Operational KPIs: Drive and monitor KPIs with the Production and Maintenance Manager, leading team meetings to review performance and foster continuous improvement. Equipment Knowledge: Operate and coordinate various production machines (metal detection, labellers, case sealers, etc.) to meet production goals. Compliance & Continuous Improvement: Uphold compliance within QMS standards and lead improvement projects targeting cost savings. Team Development: Coach and mentor team members, fostering a flexible workforce and identifying training needs. Collaboration: Coordinate activities with other departments like Hygiene and Logistics to address changes in production plans and ensure seamless shift handovers. Production Support Responsibilities: Lead by example in health and safety, ensuring all equipment is safe to use and team members are briefed on safety procedures, including fire and emergency protocols. Person Specification: Experience: Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is essential. Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); ERP/SAP experience is advantageous. Qualifications: Level 2 Food Safety, strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
