Validation Engineer
Mechanical System Validation & Verification
We are looking for a person with good experience of using data analysis / test results to aid developing verification & validation plans for complex mechanical rotating/reciprocating systems.
So if you are a Mechanical Engineer, with mechanical test project & verification / validation planning experience we would like to hear from you
Ideally you will have some form of experience within either Pumps, Diesel Generators, or turbines, also engines, aero engines or parts of power generation would be applicable too.
Do you have experience of developing mechanical test & verification plans, investigations of failed, fatigued or similar components & systems?
Can you work as a bridge between Design, Customer, NPI & Manufacturing Engineers?

£33 - £35ph FCSA Umbrella (This role is deemed inside IR35)
£24 - £26 ph paye
Some hybrid available (You will be required on site min 3 days pw in Peterborough though).
We are looking to recruit an mechanical validation or verification engineer who is looking for a diverse & interesting role.
Title: Mechanical Validation Engineer
Some Day to Day duties include
Collate system & component validation plans (DVP – Design Verification Plan) based on risk identified within DFMEAs (Design Failure Mode & Effect Analysis)
Deliver assigned projects end to end:
Specify test requirements and define machine, drivetrain build & instrumentation requirements through collaboration with relevant engineering teams.
Testing will vary, but examples are:
Dyno rig testing: endurance, functional testing, cold ambient, gradeability, noise & vibration
Machine testing: overseeing validation test work on internal machines
Work closely with test engineers responsible for executing the test; drive decision making from test data reviews and end of test inspections.
Experience in trouble shooting which can include data analysis.
Analyse data as appropriate based on the test work being delivered
experience of working as part of a cross functional team to define test requirements
Demonstrated experience of drive or machine development (or similar)
Ability to troubleshoot build and test issues, and work with component owners and hands on test engineers to complete validation test sign-off
Ensure that activities are planned and delivered within agreed timelines.
Upon test completion - document conclusions and recommendations, complete reports and update DFMEA with learning/results from test work.
