We are looking for an experienced Distributed Control System Operator who would like to join our team based in Chilton. As a DCS Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Energy Recovery Facility, managing a shift team and day operations staff. You will work on a rotating shift pattern that includes weekends and Public Holidays, providing shift rota cover as required to ensure continuous operation of the Energy Recovery Facility. Ensure compliance with all aspects of the site Environmental Permit. Represent Company management outside normal office hours. Operate / monitor plant from a Central Control Room, operate plant and equipment as required by the operational demands of the ERF. Provide technical supervision and assistance where necessary for Company and contract staff engaged in work at the ERF. Provide effective training and monitoring of othershift staff to ensure personnel are competent to undertake their duties. Provide effective administration and application of safe systems of work and Health And Safety policies. To be aware of and work within the Company Health & Safety, Environmental andQuality Systems. Carry out other reasonable tasks and duties as requested by management. What we're looking for; An experienced operator from a Power station background,ideally having completed a recognised Power station Operational Apprenticeship/ Training. An understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues Knowledge of Regulatory requirements IOSH passport safely certificate or equivalent Broad experience gained through shift working in a continuous process industry,preferably in a Waste Incineration environment Ability to ensure adherence with procedures Able to communicate effectively at all levels and produce clear, concise reports.
