Maintenance Operative

Job Vacancy: Maintenance Operative Location: Leigh-on-Sea Hourly Rate: £11.44 Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM 4:30 PM Friday: 8:30 AM 3:30 PM Reports to: Cleaning Bay Supervisor Key Responsibilities Read and understand work instructions, maintenance manuals, operating procedures, and customer specifications. Demonstrate knowledge of process paperwork and parts control. Perform disassembly of aircraft wheel and brake parts according to maintenance manuals. Dismount aircraft tires safely and efficiently. Clean aircraft wheels and brakes using specialized cleaning machines. Clean structural and component parts of aircraft wheels and brakes. Operate media blasters for effective paint removal. Maintain a tidy and safe working environment. Adapt to various shifts in response to customer needs. Skills & Qualifications Previous engineering experience is preferred. Excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic. Self-motivated with the ability to learn quickly and take instruction. GCSE in Maths and English (or equivalent) is required. Applicants must be fit and healthy, as the job is physically demanding. A forklift truck license is preferable but not essential.
