Teacher of Science - North West London - October 2024 start Role: Science Teacher Location: North West London When: January 2024 Pay: £220 - £250 per day Place of work: Alternative Provision Secondary School Contract: Long term Full time Alternative provision school - North West London - Science Teacher We are looking for a Science Teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and excited about the opportunity to provide essential education to their students with significant barriers to learning. This Alternative Provision school is based in NW London. The school caters for students, 11-16, who find mainstream education challenging, due to their additional needs. Understanding their needs must be met before any academic development can happen. What we are looking for • Therapeutic teaching approach • Science Teacher with QTS/QTLS, Able to teach KS3, and KS4 GCSE Science • Experience of teaching with emotional regulation and with positive behaviour/de-escalation strategies • Positive role model to support communication, with a sensitive, nurturing, and consistent approach • Experience with SEN, MLD, Behaviour difficulties, SEMH, Trauma, social communication teaching background • Ability to build strong and meaningful relationships with vulnerable students • Experience of working with disengaged teenagers is essential. • The passion to teach and inspire young people during a crucial stage of their personal and academic development. • Easily commutable on various lines with a 5 minute walk from the nearest station What you can expect from this Science Teacher role • To teach in a setting with a like-minded team who are equally as dedicated to the learning and personal development of young people • Specialised, CPD to support educators working with SEND • Experience working in specialist therapeutic settings • Working with a multidisciplinary education team • Support and coaching from SEND specialists Apply here!...
