Supply Chain Accountant Location: Manchester Salary: To be determined 360 Recruitment are seeking a motivated Supply Chain Accountant to manage and oversee freight and logistics costs. This role is key to providing financial oversight and commercial support for the Freight & Logistics team, ensuring accurate financial reporting and cost control within the supply chain. Responsibilities: As the Supply Chain Accountant, you will be responsible for a range of accounting and financial duties, including: Producing weekly and monthly freight accounts. Reporting on distribution and warehousing activities and developing necessary management information. Conducting detailed analysis to uncover opportunities for cost-saving initiatives. Assisting with tracking progress on cost-efficiency actions within the logistics team. Contributing to transport, warehousing, and logistics-related product costings, ensuring cost standards are regularly updated. Managing stock reconciliations for third-party warehouses. Preparing and reviewing key balance sheet accounts. Supporting process standardisation as the organisation continues to evolve its ways of working. Participating in logistics management meetings, offering financial insights and recommendations. Identifying and implementing process improvements within logistics accounting. Ensuring full compliance with SOX and internal financial controls. Supporting both internal and external audits as required. Handling ad hoc finance projects as they arise.Key Outcomes: Timely and accurate delivery of financial reports, including key performance indicators (weekly, monthly, quarterly). Meeting critical deadlines and targets for financial reporting and analysis. Consistently accurate balance sheet and inventory reconciliations.Qualifications & Experience: Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA). Degree-level qualification. At least 3 years of experience in a finance role, with a preference for supply chain or logistics finance experience.
