Salary: £23893 - £27334 pa Shift hours: 37 As a gardener in bereavement services you role is to maintain the landscape of the Gardens of Remembrance, arboreal an horticultural features across all the Authorities’ Cemeteries. You will undertake driving duties which may include vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes and ride on grass-cutting equipment. You will be planting, hedge cutting and pruning of shrubs and hedges. You will be responsible for chemical control applying weed killers and other chemicals in line with Health & Safety. To be successful in this role you will need: Knowledge of horticulture ability to supervise and set work Ability to operate a range of machinery Customer Care Skills to communicate tactfully and sympathetically with bereaved members of the public Significant experience of operation of plant and equipment PA1 and PA6 trained NVQ 1, 2 & 3 in Horticulture, City & Guilds or equivalent A Full Driving License If you need help or support to complete your application, please visit our accessibility page to see how we can assist you.
