Role Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer/Junior Project Manager who is looking to develop their career in project management and design within the BMS sector. If you're passionate about learning how to manage projects, deliver design solutions, and lead installations, this role will provide the platform you need to succeed.
With a structured training and development program, you'll gain hands-on experience working with cutting-edge BMS technologies, including Trend and/or Tridium, while being mentored by industry professionals. Over time, you’ll progress to manage your own projects and design solutions within the BMS field.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist senior engineers and project managers in delivering BMS projects from inception to completion.
Learn and support the design, installation, and commissioning of BMS systems, focusing on Trend and/or Tridium platforms.
Participate in site surveys and support the preparation of project documentation, including technical drawings and specifications.
Assist in coordinating resources, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of projects.
Monitor project progress, timelines, and budgets, and report updates to senior management.
Attend client meetings, manage stakeholder expectations, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Take ownership of smaller projects or elements of larger projects as your skills develop.
Engage in continuous professional development, attending in-house and external training programs to enhance your technical and managerial skills.
Qualifications and Skills:
Previous experience or exposure to BMS technologies, particularly Trend and/or Tridium platforms (preferred but not essential).
A basic understanding of building management systems, HVAC, or controls engineering.
Strong interest in developing project management, design, and engineering skills in the BMS sector.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Willingness to learn and take initiative, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
A full UK driving license is essential due to site visits and client meetings.
