THE COMPANY: We are working with an international wealth manager based in the city. We are supporting the firm with their search for a Financial Crime Manager to join the team, with scope of taking on the SMF17 function in the next 3 years. THE RESPONSIBILITIES: Deputise for the MLRO in their absence. Support the MLRO in performing investigations and preparing reports and recommendations on suspicious activities. Provide compliance expertise and advice to internal stakeholders; Perform compliance controls the activity of the Company according to Company’s Financial Crime CMP. Implement and update the Company’s FCC Policies and Procedures in accordance with local requirements and Group standards, policies and procedures. Perform independent review of client onboarding and periodic account review as second line of defence. Ensure adherence to and strong monitoring of all compliance related regulatory requirements and developments applicable to the firm, including regulations in UK. Identify and assess compliance risks and impact from new projects, products/services or arising from new regulations. Maintain knowledge and awareness of key regulatory changes related to Financial Crime Compliance matters impacting the business, including review of relevant local consultation papers, discussion papers, guidance, policy statements, thematic reviews, and enforcement cases; Provide guidance on sanctions related matters. Maintaining high level of AML/CFT risk awareness within the Company and provide/organize relevant trainings Preparing external regulatory reporting (including but not limited to the annual UK MLRO report), as well as reports to internal management bodies including to the Group Compliance; Preparing reports to to company executives and risk committee, Client Acceptance Committee, Board of Directors. Assisting with Internal and External Audits; Assist with the Business Wide Risk Assessment for the company (UK). EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 5 years’ experience within a 2nd line of defence function focussing on AML & Financial Crime. (NOT KYC/ ONBOARDING ROLES) Good experience with developing policies and procedures for the financial crime CMP. Good experience within the wealth management environment.
