About the role: We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this full-time, long-term role, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with challenging behaviours. You will be working closely with children in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, supporting their individual learning needs and helping them navigate the school environment. Your calm and patient demeanor will be essential as you implement tailored strategies that promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being. Application Requirements: • Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or special educational needs. • Previous experience working with children, particularly those with challenging behaviours. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff. • Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to challenging situations. • A genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of all students. Key Responsibilities: • Provide one-on-one support to students with challenging behaviours, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment. • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement effective Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs. • Engage students in creative and interactive activities to foster their learning and social skills. • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents to ensure continuity of support. • Facilitate communication between students and peers, promoting inclusion and cooperation within the classroom.
