Activus Recruitment have an opportunity for a Site Engineer with lifting experience to join our clients team for a long term project based in Nigg. Key Duties: * Setting out the works in accordance with the drawings and specification * Liaising with the contracts managers regarding construction programmes * Adhering to health and safety and ensuring works are carried out safely at all times. * Resolving technical issues with client representatives, sub-contractors suppliers and statutory authorities * Quality control in accordance with company procedures * Measurement and valuation (in collaboration with the project quantity surveyor where appropriate) * Preparing and record drawings, technical reports and site diary * Assisting with producing site plans, general arrangements and calculations, using approved engineering techniques, procedures and criteria. * Plan, coordinate, and supervise lifting operations on construction sites. * Conduct risk assessments for lifting activities and implement appropriate control measures. * Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to lifting operations. * Monitor and inspect lifting equipment to ensure proper functioning and maintenance. * Provide technical expertise and guidance on lifting techniques and procedures. * Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient and safe lifting operations. * Document and report on lifting activities, including incidents and near misses. * Train and educate site staff on safe lifting practices and procedures. Personal Requirements * Proven experience in a similar role * Excellent communication, planning and organisation skills * Excellent attention to detail and accuracy * Ability to understand construction drawings. * Previous experience with AutoCad * CSCS Card
