Caritas Futures is supporting a national charity who are recruiting two experienced Family Support Practitioners to join them on temp, potentially temp - perm contracts. This will be working with a revolutionary new service as part of a multi-disciplinary team that will support whole families holistically to access services and improve their mental health.
The role will require you to develop relationships with several professionals across organisations and other service providers to enhance the emotional, mental health and wellbeing offer with the aim to increase the family's personal resilience and empower them to manage their own mental health. This will require someone to work in a creative way to engage all members of a family into the service and innovatively with local organisations to develop partnerships and to encourage their participation in supporting families with therapeutic activities.
You will hold a level 5 qualification in a relevant field (Social Work, Nursing, Teaching, Youth Work, Counselling, Psychology) and have experience of working with and advocating for families with complex needs, as well as community outreach and multi-disciplinary working. You will be passionate about improving outcomes for children and families, able to amplify the voices of children and families in a professional setting and exceptional assessment skills, including risk assessment.
This role will require you to hold a valid driving licence and have access to a car for to travel to families and services across county as required. An enhanced DBS will be required for the role, either on the update service or one will be conducted on your behalf.
