About the role We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join our growing team delivering design, engineering, and manufacturing solutions for some of the world’s most exclusive and ultra-premium car programmes. Our team of Quality Engineers, reporting to our Quality & IT Director, to ensure components and quality assurance services meet the quality expectations of our company, and our customers, through the use of various tools, techniques, procedures, and processes. Responsibilities To ensure customer issues regarding quality are addressed in a timely manner. Assist with inspection of parts, if required. Support KPI process, and the production of the quality department KPI's. Manage corrective action plans through containment, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and improvement actions. Prepare and submit approval documents as agreed with the customer. i.e. PPAP/PSW/ISIR. Process agreed approval documents from suppliers. Evaluation and development of key suppliers. Address supplier quality issues. Implement effective control plans as required. Ensure control plan test schedules are maintained. Operate the warranty process. Carry out internal and supplier audits. Create and maintain QMS documentation. Create, implement, and maintain effective process flows, instructions, forms. Support FMEA's and design reviews, as required. Support completion of project deliverables, such as Project Operating Plan, Quality Standards, Quality Assurance Plans and quality targets. To deputise in the absence of the Senior Q.E. Carry out any other reasonable requests made by a Head or the Directors. Qualifications Quality assurance: 2 years (preferred) Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure, prioritising tasks as required. Experienced in problem solving. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels. Good understanding of ISO9000, and PPAP/PSW. Able to coach and mentor team members. Ability to build relationships among colleagues and external stakeholders. Adaptable, confident, positive character. Good IT skills including Excel and PowerPoint. Experience in mechanical engineering. Proven experience as quality engineer. Ability to read technical drawings, CAD. Able to carry out inspections, dimensional and visual, using all available equipment. Able to calibrate equipment. Additional Information Working pattern. Monday to Friday, 8am until 4:30pm Overtime. Is occasionally available (dependent upon successfully completing probation and the requirements of the business). Salary. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience. Other.
