Mechancial Fitter

BMR Solutions are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter to work for our client who are an engineering / manufacturing company located in the south of Bristol. Mechanical Fitter Bristol Permanent DOE Key Skills: Machine Build / Electro-mechanical / Mechanical / Assembly / Special Purpose Machinery Responsibilities: * Assemble parts to the required specification including: * Sub-assemblies * Machine build * Machine panel build * Complete any quality documentation required for the tasks * Identify problems with assemblies / parts and raise any quality issues following the company procedures * Operate handling equipment and machinery when trained to do so * Support the sustainment and improvement of housekeeping and health and safety practices * Support in the implementation and sustainment of 5S standards * Assist in the achievement of the Assembly operational plan * Any other reasonable request by the line management team Knowledge and Skills: * Able to read engineering drawings and understand Bill of Materials * Ability to understand mechanical design assembly * Previous mechanical assembly experience in a machine manufacturing environment * Experience of assembling large fabricated parts to engineering drawings * Good dexterity with the ability to handle a variety of parts including sheet metal, machined and electrical components * Good verbal and written communication skills * Good numeracy * Computer literate * Proactive * Team player * Adaptable * Conscientious and responsible * Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines * Lean manufacturing knowledge * Counterbalance forklift license is desirable BMR Solutions acts in the capacity of an Employment Business and an Employment Agency
