SQL Developer Location: Belfast (in-office 2 days per week) Salary:Up to £55,000 Job Description: Our client is the leading player in its industry on the Island of Ireland. Our client is seeking a talented SQL Developer with over 4 years of experience to join their teamin Belfast. This rrole offers an excellent opportunity to work on innovative projects within the mortgage and pensions sector. You will be responsible for developing and optimising SQL databases, ensuring data integrity, and providing critical insights through reporting and analysis. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain robust and efficient SQL databases. Optimise SQL queries and stored procedures for improved performance and scalability. Collaborate closely with development teams to support the integration of database solutions into applications. Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, ensuring minimal downtime and high performance. Create and maintain detailed SQL reports to support business operations and decision-making. Implement best practices for database security, backup, and recovery procedures. Contribute to database documentation and version control practices. Requirements: 4+ years of hands-on experience with SQL development and database management. Proficient in creating complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and triggers. Experience with SQL Server, MySQL, or equivalent database systems. Strong skills in performance tuning, query optimisation, and troubleshooting. Experience with ETL processes and data integration from various sources. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, both technical and non-technical. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Desirable Skills: Knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence tools. Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., Azure SQL, AWS RDS). Experience with NoSQL databases is a plus. What's in it for you? Competitive salary up to £55,000.
