Based in Tipton and established for more than 40 years, we are framework partners with several major utilities, driven by a commitment to maintaining and developing solid client relationships and we continue to diversify and reinforce our The Role: To be responsible for the installation of Sewerage and water networks including pump stations and rising mains for a portfolio of Projects. This will include the management of Customer relations, staff and Contractors ensuring that networks are built safely, to the correct specification and to the Groups, asset owners and Client satisfaction. The position is based at Doocey Group location as bespoke to the specific project. Key Objectives: Responsible for managing and supervising the installation, testing and commissioning of Waste and clean water services, and associated equipment and meters in accordance with company standards and procedures. Responsible for Health and Safety matters relating to the Installation and Commissioning of Networks associated with his/her portfolio of projects. This includes but is not limited to ensuring staff and Contractors work safely in accordance with approved procedures, method statements and risk assessments. Act as the Companies ambassador. They must be courteous, professional, knowledgeable, readily contactable and provide swift responses to enquiries from Customers employees and Contractors. Required to manage the portfolio of projects ensuring Customer satisfaction is achieved but not at the expense of safety and quality. They will be expected to liaise with the customer and manage any complaints or issues that may arise as a result of our works. Specific Responsibilities/Task: Management of Network construction. This can include. Initial and ongoing site meetings and liaison with the Client regarding safety, technical standards and work programming. Initial meetings require the relevant operational / SHEQ documentation to be completed and returned Issue and explain M&A Doocey requirements and technical standards Brief the Clients on the required specification and installation methods for works undertaken on our behalf Brief and explain the material storage requirements Ensure a register of all briefings are recorded and filed accordingly. Supervision that all network assets are constructed in a safe manner. Supervision that all assets are constructed as designed and in accordance with approved, methods, standards and specifications. This includes work undertaken by the Client on the Groups behalf. Ensuring that all assets are recorded correctly. Manage any direct labour or Contractors employed by M&A Doocey on your portfolio of activities / contract. Manage and ensure the efficient processing of any variations. Maintain a comprehensive site diary. Provide technical advice to the Client, Customers, Contractors and Staff. Manage productivity to ensure on site works are delivered on time and to budget. Manage the quantities and storage of materials on the portfolio of projects to ensure waste is kept to a minimum. Health & safety incident investigation and reporting Inc utility damages. Audit teams and Contractors deployed on your portfolio of activities in adherence to the Groups Audit Programme. Record all site audits and file accordingly. Ensure the prompt and satisfactory resolution of any raised ‘Corrective Actions’. To carry out and record annual appraisals and competency interviews with direct reports. Ensure competencies of staff and contractors meet the relevant mandated Job Profile(s) of the Group and site-specific requirements. General Provide accurate quality work within the department and Group. Be readily contactable during normal hours. Maintain a helpful and informative work environment. Assist the Line Manager in the development of greater efficiency within the Group. Ensure that all relevant information is recorded accurately and submitted on time. Any other duties as deemed appropriate by the Line Manager Comply with the latest company procedures, legislation and industry skills on all aspects of day-to-day work. Qualifications & Training: The incumbents must have significant experience and/or qualifications as well as having a working knowledge of current Legislation, Technical Standards & Specifications, Codes of Practice and Recommendations relating to all or one of the following utilities; Clean and waste water networks including rising mains and pumpstation construction Networks. The incumbent must also have a good practical working knowledge of the other utilities to enable safe and efficient management of network construction. The post holder will hold: * NRSWA supervisory card * Relevant SHEA card and/or CSCS registration. * First Aid * M&A Doocey mandated internal training qualifications e.g. Key Skills * Confined space and deep excavation qualifications * Valid SMSTS competency * Civil Engineering qualification preferred Technical Skills & Experience: In addition the incumbent should preferably have one of the following and/or equivalent; * NCO3 (water) Supervisors qualification. * NEBOSH Construction Certificate. * Skilled in managing works with Microsoft Project or similar * Competent in the use of Excell and Word
