Are you a proactive and skilled professional with a passion for fire, security systems, and access control? We are looking for a dedicated Service Engineer to provide top-notch technical support, maintenance, and service to our valued clients. What You'll Do: Technical Support: Deliver first-line technical support, swiftly resolving client issues. Diagnose and troubleshoot fire and security system problems to minimize downtime. Keep detailed records of service calls, repairs, and maintenance activities. Maintenance and Servicing: Perform regular maintenance and servicing of fire and security systems per industry standards. Conduct system upgrades and modifications to ensure optimal performance. Ensure all systems comply with current safety regulations and industry standards. Reactive Support: Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests and emergency call-outs. Assess and repair faults quickly to restore system functionality. Collaborate with service coordinators, providing clear updates on service progress and estimated resolution times. Client Support: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering expert advice and support. Recommend system improvements and upgrades based on client needs. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date service records, including job reports, maintenance logs, and client communications. Prepare detailed reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and identified issues. Ensure all documentation complies with company policies and industry regulations. What We're Looking For: Certification in relevant fire and security systems. Minimum of 2 years of experience in the fire and security systems industry. In-depth knowledge of enterprise access control systems, both on-premises and cloud-based. Strong understanding of security and/or fire industry products and applications. Proven experience in technical support, maintenance, and reactive service roles. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Valid UK driving license. Trade card ECS or equivalent. Health & Safety competence or IPAF/PASMA certification. Desirable Attributes: Familiarity with the latest industry technologies and advancements. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality service. Job Type: Full-time Pay: From £30,000.00 per year Schedule: Overtime Education: GCSE or equivalent (preferred) Experience: Fire and Security: 2 years (preferred)
