SEN Teaching Assistant

We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable SEN Teaching Assistant to join the SEN team at a primary school in South London, where you will provide invaluable support to students in Years 4 and 5 with Speech and Language needs.

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Hours: 8:30am to 1:30pm, Monday to Friday
Start date: ASAP
Employment Type: Contract (Part-time)
Salary: £80 - £100 per day, depending on experience
To apply for this role, you will need:
Experience supporting children with SEN, specifically with Speech and Language needs (S&L).
A passion for working with children and supporting their individual learning needs within the education and training sector.
A positive and proactive attitude, with the ability to be flexible in a dynamic school environment.
Excellent communication skills, both with children and staff.
Responsibilities of the role include:
Providing one-to-one and small group support to children in Year 4 and Year 5 with Speech and Language difficulties.
Assisting with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and supporting students in achieving their learning goals.
Helping students develop their communication skills through various activities and tailored interventions.
Supporting the classroom teacher in managing behaviour and providing additional assistance as needed.
Working collaboratively with the SENCo, class teachers, and other staff to ensure a holistic and inclusive approach to learning.Why this role?
