We are currently recruiting for a Contracts Manager to be based in the Sussex area, working with a local based contractor. This contractor deal with all aspects of civil engineering - highways, bridges, infrastructure, environmental, frameworks and special works and we are therefore looking for a Contracts Manager with a mixed civils background. Reporting to a Regional Director, you will be responsible for: Projects ranging in value from £3 mill to £10 mill Visiting various sites Planning, scheduling, procuring and delivering multiple projects effectively, often to a tight schedule Liaising with various clients teams and consultants Agreeing timescales, costs and resources needed, with the clients Drawing up detailed plans of how to achieve each stage of each project, as well as an overall plan Ensuring a project team is in place for each specific project and managing those teams throughout the progress of the whole project Reporting regularly on the progress of the project to the client and/or to the senior managers Working to the contract (NEC 3)Requirements: Degree / HND in Civil Engineering Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills Attention to detail Excellent communication and negotiation skills A good understanding of budget control The ability to lead a team and work well with others Commercially minded Good IT skills NEC Contract experience Previous experience in a similar role Civil Engineering project experience is essentialBenefits: Salary £70,000 - £80,000 (depending on experience) + packageRandstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.
