Buyer - Manufacturing

The Role We are seeking a skilled Buyer with at least 2 years of experience in raw material purchasing within a manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for sourcing materials, managing suppliers, and negotiating the best deals to support the business’s goals. Experience with subcontract manufacturing and engineering services would be a distinct advantage. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the business continues to grow efficiently, maintaining strong relationships with suppliers while working closely with internal stakeholders across departments. Key Responsibilities: * Sourcing and purchasing raw materials for manufacturing operations * Negotiating with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, lead times, and quality * Managing supplier relationships to ensure consistent performance and on-time delivery * Supporting subcontract manufacturing and engineering service purchases where required * Working closely with production, engineering, and other internal teams to ensure smooth procurement processes * Continuously reviewing and improving the procurement process to drive efficiency and cost savings * Identifying new suppliers and building strategic partnerships to support future growth About You: * Minimum of 2 years' experience in raw material purchasing within a manufacturing environment * Experience managing subcontract manufacturing and engineering services is advantageous * Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of driving cost-effective deals * Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders * Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities * A proactive, results-driven mindset with a passion for delivering value and contributing to business success What’s On Offer: * Competitive salary of £32,000 - £37,000 * The opportunity to work in a growing, profitable business with a global presence * Career development opportunities within a fast-moving, dynamic organisation If you are a motivated Buyer looking for an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of a thriving company, we’d love to hear from you
