We are currently working with a successful engineering business to recruit a new Health and Safety Advisor to the business following a recent internal promotion. This role will be joining an established Health and Safety team to provide operational safety support to their large site at Prestwick. This is an exciting opportunity to work with an interesting and innovative organisation in a hands on and varied role. As Health and Safety Advisor, you will: Carry out risk assessments and incident investigations where required Identify training needs to maintain a safe working environment and promote a positive culture Work closely with medical teams to manage occupational health for staff Collaborate with the Health and Safety Manager to identify areas of improvement for Health and Safety on site Engage with staff at all levels from senior management to engineers to lead a strong health and safety culture Why this is a great company to work for: The company is part of a larger and industry leading group organisation – offering development opportunities and job security You will be joining a longstanding team with decades of experience in safety and the business You will be part of a company that values staff and recognises hard work – you will be reporting to the Health and Safety Manager who has just been promoted from this role This is a large site with a diverse risk profile – offering you variety in your role and exposure to a new and interesting working environment Apply for this role you will have: NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification as a minimum Experience working in engineering, manufacturing, construction, or a similar industrial business Operational Health and Safety experience carrying out risk assessments, training, and incident investigations Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with staff at all levels The successful candidate will receive a salary of up to £55,000 depending on experience, and the chance to work with an exciting and industry leading organisation.
