Job Requirements / Description

We are seeking an experienced M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) Site Manager for a 2-year temporary contract to oversee a major data centre project. The primary focus of this role will be the installation of 120 cooling towers/units. You will be responsible for managing on-site activities, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring that the project is completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the installation of 120 cooling towers/units at a state-of-the-art data centre.
  • Manage all M&E activities on site, ensuring strict compliance with safety, quality, and project specifications.
  • Coordinate between various teams, including subcontractors, engineers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress, addressing any issues or delays promptly.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to the project management team.
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with relevant regulations, including health and safety standards.
  • Manage project paper work and daily briefing/ allocation sheets

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an M&E Site Manager, ideally in data centres or large-scale industrial projects.
  • SMSTS, CSCS, First aid at work
  • In-depth knowledge of cooling towers/units installation, maintenance, and operation.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage subcontractors and site staff effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with safety and compliance standards within the M&E industry.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Relevant qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related fields.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in large-scale M&E installations, particularly in data centres.
  • Strong understanding of the technical aspects of cooling systems.
