About the care home An amazing opportunity has become available for a passionate head chef to join Xealthcare’s well renowned care providers residential care home on a permanent, full-time contract. The care home is set quietly in the idyllic Hampshire village of Liss, just outside Petersfield and within easy reach of Liphook, Haslemere and Midhurst. The 30 bedded care home is equipped to provide residential support for elderly people living with different types of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease and vascular dementia. Our client takes pride in providing a first-class service throughout the home, from the care provided to the quality and service from the kitchen staff. Chefs are trusted to create meals that are not only nutritious but also reminiscent of home cooking. Using fresh, quality ingredients. The kitchen staff craft a variety of seasonal dishes that cater to diverse tastes and dietary needs, ensuring that each meal is both healthy and satisfying. Meats and produce are sourced locally to ensure the chefs have access to the freshest and most nutritious ingredients. Formal and professional training is provided from the care homes very own Chef Academy, partnering with well talented renowned chefs, ensuring the kitchen team are at the forefront of culinary innovation. Our skilled chefs, inspired by mentorship and training, create restaurant-quality, well-balanced menus for residents to enjoy. Position: Head Chef As a Head Chef you be responsible for setting the standards across your kitchen. You will manage and lead the kitchen staff to provide nutritionally balanced and high-quality culinary service that contributes to the overall well-being of the residents and is achieved within budget. Key Responsibilities: * To manage and lead the kitchen staff. * Prepare and cook a variety of meals, taking into consideration dietary requirements and restrictions. * Plan and manage the kitchen's food inventory. * Ensure all food and hygiene standards are consistently met. * Collaborate with the kitchen team to deliver outstanding dining experiences for our residents. * Have a positive attitude and the ability to create a buzz in your kitchen. Requirements: * Proven experience as a head chef or in a similar setting. * Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a kitchen environment. * A passion for cooking and providing high-quality meals. * Excellent communication and leadership skills. * Reliable and able to work independently.
