Opportunity: Seize an opportunity to work with a globally recognised engineering and environmental consultancy firm. Your expertise will be applied to clients across numerous sectors such as infrastructure, energy, planning and design and many more. You'll be a team leader at the forefront of promoting continual professional growth of both you and your team. Responsibility: As the new Associate Director for Ecology, your responsibilities will be focused on early engagement and pre-planning of necessary ecological practices based on varying clienteles needs and requirements. This will include standard surveys and assessments like HRAs, Protected Species Surveys, EcIAs and BNG as well as planning and preparation of mitigation strategies. Requirements: To be a succesfull applicant for this position you'll need to have a lot of experience working in a consultancy environment, ideally 10 years. You'll also need be a full member of CIEEM and/or be a Chartered Ecologist, with plenty of project and team management experience as there is an inter-office supporting member aspect to this role and hold a full, clean UK driving license. Regarding practical knowledge, a strong working understanding of UK planning policy, ecological legislature, the EIA and HRA process, standard survey methods and assessment techniques, UK ecological taxa and protected species licensing. Experience with data collection, planning mechanisms, the Midlands/Southwest market (ideally able to bring business or ideas for expansion with you) and with large scale linear and property projects such as the HS2 project.
