Position : Sous Chef
Establishment : New Opening Restaurant
Location : St. James's, London
Availability : Starting in August
Salary : £45k + Tronc. Package will be +£50k An exciting new restaurant opening in the heart of London, is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join their dynamic culinary team. As Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations and ensuring the delivery of exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Responsibilities :
Assist the Head Chef in menu development, recipe creation, and the implementation of new culinary concepts
Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, plating, and service
Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
Monitor inventory levels and place orders for necessary supplies and ingredients
Train, supervise, and mentor the kitchen brigade, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
Maintain strict adherence to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations
Contribute to the development and refinement of kitchen processes and procedures
Assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen budget and controlling food costs
Requirements :
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a high-quality restaurant
Formal culinary training or a recognised qualification in Culinary Arts
Extensive knowledge of international cuisine, food trends, and culinary techniques
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational and time management abilities
Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene
Passion for creating innovative and visually appealing dishes
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment
