Purpose of the Role - CAD Technician:
As a CAD Technician, you will be at the forefront of delivering high-impact environmental infrastructure projects. You will lead the production of detailed CAD designs, ensuring full compliance with Business Management Systems (BMS) and CDM regulations. Collaborating with PMEICA and Civils teams, you'll provide technical expertise and support in procurement and site activities, managing consultant and subcontractor design efforts. You'll also take the lead on BIM workshops, ensuring that all project BIM requirements are met to the highest standards.

Key Accountabilities - CAD Technician:
- Drive the production of CAD designs in line with BMS and CDM regulations.
- Collaborate closely with PMEICA and Civils teams to ensure seamless design execution and technical support for procurement activities.
- Manage design production from consultants and sub-contractors, ensuring compliance and quality.
- Lead BIM workshops, becoming the go-to expert for BIM-related technical requirements.
- Ensure a safe working environment across all projects, actively participating in creating a culture of safety and excellence.
- Expert knowledge of ISO19650 and BIM documentation standards.
- Proficiency in Viewpoint for Projects (VfP) and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
- A strong understanding of The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and CDM 2015 regulations.
- Experienced in managing subcontractor processes and overseeing project programming and resource planning.
- Qualifications to progress to HNC/Degree level in a relevant subject.
- Expertise in Revit and Civils 3D is essential.
- Desirable skills include Dynamo for Revit, ReCAP Pro, and Infraworks.
- Experience in AutoCAD 2D/3D, Plant P&ID, and Navisworks Manage.
- Working towards or membership of a relevant professional institution (e.g., IMechE).
