Specialist SEN school for children with Autism, ADHD, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs
Full-time during school hours, term time only
£29,828 - £48,000 per annum, depending on experience and NHS Pay Bands
I am working with a therapeutic and supportive SEN school in Guildford, Surrey, which is looking for a paediatric Speech and Language Therapist to join them as soon as possible. We are working in partnership with this outstanding school, which provides a calm, safe, and creative learning environment for pupils with Autism/ASC, ADHD, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH). This is a full-time, permanent position starting as early as possible, offering a competitive salary and the chance to make a positive difference in the lives of children and young people.

What Makes This Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist Role Special? Main Responsibilities as a Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist: Providing both individual and group therapy sessions to support students' speech and language needs. Developing and delivering tailored therapy plans to meet each pupil’s specific communication requirements. Attending and contributing to staff meetings, Annual Reviews, and other team discussions to ensure cohesive support. Collaborating closely with a multi-disciplinary team, including teachers, support staff, and other therapists, to provide holistic care. Helping to create a positive and nurturing learning environment that enables children to thrive. Ensuring full compliance with school policies and implementing Health and Safety Regulations, including Risk Assessments.
The Ideal Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist: Must be HCPC registered and hold a degree in Speech and Language Therapy or an equivalent qualification. Has experience working with children and young people with Autism/ASC, ADHD, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) Demonstrates a passion for supporting children with special educational needs and a proactive, positive, and patient approach. Is a team player with excellent communication skills, capable of building strong relationships with children, parents, carers, and colleagues. Shows a genuine interest in promoting the development of students with additional needs and the desire to make a lasting impact.
