About the role: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant who specializes in working with children exhibiting challenging behaviours. In this rewarding role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our students by providing tailored support and encouragement in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 settings. You will work closely with teachers to implement individualized education plans (IEPs), helping students build confidence and achieve their full potential. Your compassion and creativity will be crucial in creating a safe and engaging learning environment for our students. Application Requirements: • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role, preferably with SEN students. • Strong understanding of challenging behaviours and effective strategies to support them. • A patient, empathetic approach to working with children. • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Relevant qualifications or certifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 3 in Childcare). Key Responsibilities: • Assist students with their learning activities, focusing on their individual needs. • Implement strategies to support students with challenging behaviours in the classroom. • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to develop and implement IEPs. • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment, promoting inclusion and engagement. • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
