Job Summary:
The Project Manager will be responsible for managing specific workstreams within a wider programme of work. Reporting directly to the Programme Lead (Lead Delivery Manager), the Project Manager will collaborate with internal stakeholders, technical advisers, and supply chain partners to ensure the successful delivery of project outcomes. This role is integral to the stability workstream, version upgrade projects, and other associated projects, with a focus on Control Room and Operational Technology.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage specific workstreams and projects within a broader programme.
• Work closely with the Programme Lead to align project goals, workloads, and timelines.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, technical experts, and external suppliers to ensure successful delivery.
• Oversee the management and upgrade of Control Room services/software, as well as other Operational Technology systems.
• Ensure projects adhere to public sector governance and reporting requirements.
• Engage with the market, oversee tender processes, and manage supply chain relationships to meet project goals.
• Manage complex projects within the constraints of a larger programme, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
• Monitor, report on, and ensure the successful outcome of assigned workstreams.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
• Experience in Control Room or Operational Technology: Experience within the Police Force, Ambulance Service, or similar sectors is crucial.
• Project Management Expertise: Proven experience managing the upgrade and maintenance of Control Room services and/or broader Operational Technology systems.
• Public Sector Experience: Strong understanding of public sector project governance, reporting structures, and compliance.
• Market Engagement and Tendering: Demonstrated ability to engage with the market and manage tendering processes.
• Complex Project Management: Experience delivering complex projects within the framework of a wider programme of work, ensuring successful delivery and adherence to timelines.
Desirable Skills:
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and collaborate effectively across teams.
• Familiarity with risk management, project planning, and change management within a public sector setting.
This role is ideal for a Project Manager with a solid background in Operational Technology and Control Room systems, especially those experienced in public sector programmes
