PE Teacher

A dedicated school for children aged 7-19 years, based in Horsham, who have special educational challenges, are looking for an enthusiastic PE Teacher to join their team of highly experienced professionals. The school has a deep focus on addressing the educational, social and therapeutic needs of students, focusing on individual happiness and well-being where students can thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
They are NAS accredited with an Ofsted rated 'Good' that caters for academically able autistic students with associated difficulties, including ADHD and complex needs.

Responsibilities of an PE Teacher:
The teaching of pupil/s according to their individual educational needs and abilities.
Planning, preparing and delivering lessons to all pupils that are appropriate to their age and ability.
Assessing, recording and reporting on the development of pupil progress, attainment and behaviour.
Maintaining good order and discipline amongst all pupils and safeguarding their health and safety at all times.
Sharing in any possible and reasonable way the effective management, organisation, order and discipline of the school.
Communicating, consulting and co-operating with other members of the school staff to ensure the best interests of all pupils.
Communicating and consulting with parents and carers to ensure the best interests of their children are being me.
Participating in In-Service education and training courses as well as continuing professional development (CPD) opportunities.
Promoting wellbeing and fitness through physical education.
Requirements of a PE Teacher:
Must hold QTS or QTLS
Ideally has teaching experience in an SEN school
Can teach GCSE PE
Has knowledge of the National Curriculum and how to apply it to teaching
A positive, proactive and patient individual who has a can-do attitude and is willing to learn
A team player and has great communication skill
Ability to build up good working relationships with pupils and staff
Must be able to drive.
