About the role

Job Title: Health and Safety Manager

Location: Wirral/ Liverpool, office based

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Job Responsibilities:

* Lead the creation and implementation of comprehensive health and safety policies that align with industry regulations and best practices.

* Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor safety compliance and identify potential hazards.

* Provide guidance and support to site teams on health and safety issues.

* Develop and deliver health and safety training sessions to staff and subcontractors, ensuring everyone is up to date with safety protocols and regulations.

* Investigate accidents and incidents on-site, identifying root causes and ensuring corrective actions are implemented to prevent recurrence.

* Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation, preparing reports for senior management and clients as required. Maintain accurate records of site safety performance.

Requirements

* A NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent is essential. A NEBOSH Diploma is highly desirable.

* A strong background in health and safety within the construction or commercial roofing sectors, with a good understanding of the specific challenges faced on site.

* Ability to communicate effectively with teams, subcontractors, and clients, providing clear guidance on health and safety matters.

* A keen eye for detail when conducting inspections, audits, and investigating incidents to ensure all safety issues are addressed.

* Ability to identify risks and implement practical solutions before issues escalate, with a hands-on approach to managing health and safety on-site.
