Site Supervisor - Part Time - Mornings Only (but have some flexibility) Core Purpose of the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Site Supervisor to oversee the maintenance, cleanliness, and security of our school premises. The successful candidate will ensure all areas, both internal and external, are kept safe, clean, and well-maintained, while carrying out essential janitorial and repair tasks. Key Responsibilities: Building and Grounds Maintenance: Ensure all internal and external areas are clean and secure. Perform semi-skilled repairs and maintenance using hand and power tools. Schedule and monitor contracted services, ensuring timely completion. Complete and record maintenance checks as per schedule. Security: Act as a keyholder and principal contact for emergency services outside of school hours. Manage the security of the premises, including unlocking, locking, and responding to incidents. Oversee the school's security systems, ensuring alarms are functional and emergency exits are clear. Contractor and Visitor Management: Supervise contractors on-site, ensuring health and safety requirements are met. Manage visitors and contractor activities to minimize disruption to school operations. Porterage and Supply Management: Order and manage the distribution of consumables like soap and toilet rolls. Set up and move furniture as required for school activities and events. Environmental and Health & Safety: Maintain records for COSHH, fire safety, and PAT testing. Conduct routine health and safety inspections, reporting findings to the appropriate school authorities. Oversee waste management, gutter cleaning, and ensure pathways are clear of obstructions. Cleaning and Groundskeeping: Maintain the cleanliness of the school, including hard surfaces, play areas, and gardens. Work with landscapers to manage soft landscaping, ensuring regular weeding and pruning. External Use of Facilities: Manage external use of school facilities, ensuring they are clean and returned in good condition after use. Supervise lettings, including unlocking and locking the premises for external hirers. Public Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, visitors, and external facility users.Additional Duties: This role includes flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as directed by the Headteacher, ensuring smooth operation and upkeep of the school's facilities. What We're Looking For: Experience in premises management or maintenance. Practical skills in minor repairs, cleaning, and health & safety. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
