Role: PsychologistLocation: Wiltshire (Melksham and Salisbury)Salary: £53,600, pro rata per annumHours: Part time, minimum 22.5 hours per weekDriving licence and access to a car requiredBright Futures, Inspired By You.Horizon Care & Education are looking for a part time Clinical Psychologist to join us to deliver a comprehensive therapeutic service for children in our care in Salisbury and Melksham in Wiltshire. This is a really exciting position, working with 4 new childrens homes, with one of our homes being an assessment home, where we work closely with the children to identify their individual needs.What you'll get to doDeliver evidence based therapeutic and psychologically led care which conforms to the standards outlined by the HCPC and BPS under supervisionUndertake comprehensive psychological assessments and write psychological reports for children and young people in the care of Horizon Care & EducationDevelop, write and regularly review/update therapeutic care plans for children and young people in residential care and educationManage a limited caseload for individual intervention, providing specialist psychological input to young people and teams in residential care and educational settingsContribute to the development of a therapeutically informed service across education and residential teams.What we're looking for from youExperience of working with Children and Young People or relevant demonstrable transferable skills is essentialPost-doctoral knowledge of applied psychology including developmental lifespan psychology, models of psychopathologyPrevious experience working with children and young people that have experienced trauma and have complex needsExperiencing in the assessment and management of self-harm / risk / crisis management / safeguardingExperience of teaching, training and/or supervision.Practitioner doctorate or equivalent accepted by the British Psychological Society as qualifying the person to work as a clinical/ counselling/ forensic psychologist/relevant qualification to enable HCPC registrationKnowledge of Therapeutic practicesExperience of working with sensory strategiesA desire to support services through embedding therapeutic practiceWell-developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writingAbility to work autonomously with the support from individual and peer supervisionAbility to role model behaviours and attitudes in line with organisational valuesA sound understanding of Microsoft Office components, including knowledge of Excel, Teams and SharePointFull UK driving licence and use of your own vehicleHere are just some of the benefits of working for us:Real Living Wage employerCompetitive pay ratesChristmas bonusBlue Light CardTasteCard - Discounts on the CInema, meals out and days out!MyActive and MyGym discountsColleague referral scheme with cash rewards - earn up to £2500 per referral!
