Job Title: Teaching Assistant (TA) Location: Colchester Salary Scale:  £85 - £100 per day We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our team in Colchester, providing essential support to students with special educational needs. As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will play a crucial role in inspiring and encouraging pupils to develop their knowledge and confidence across various disciplines in a supportive and safe learning environment. Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant (TA): Collaborate closely with the Class Teacher to plan and deliver lessons, contributing to Individual Student Plans (ISPs). Support students through direct practical interaction, caring for their educational and personal welfare in a teaching and supervisory capacity. As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will be responsible for accompanying and supervising students during educational visits and school activities, such as swimming, ice skating, and horse riding. Assist in the preparation and organization of learning resources and ensure the classroom environment is safe and conducive to learning. Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, simplifying tasks and presenting information in a manner tailored to each student's needs. About the Role: Position: Teaching Assistant (TA) Location: Colchester Hours: 38.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 46.2 weeks per year Why Join Us as a Teaching Assistant (TA)? Is organized, adaptable, and able to maintain accurate records of student progress. Can foster strong relationships with students, staff, parents, and outside agencies, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Is willing to participate in physical activities, such as swimming and sports, and help with students’ personal hygiene needs. As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will be expected to uphold the school's safeguarding policies and contribute positively to the educational environment.
