Shift Maintenance Engineer Permanent role Lutterworth £44K + overtime and good benefits package Join Our Team as a Shift Maintenance Engineer in Lutterworth! Are you an experienced maintenance engineer looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a dedicated Shift Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team in Lutterworth. This permanent role supports a variety of current and next-generation technology needs, from supply chain to end-to-end specialised expertise and services. About the Role: As a site-based Shift Maintenance Engineer within our distribution warehouse, you will work alongside a team of 4 shift engineers. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the successful maintenance of the site through both planned and reactive maintenance. Shift Pattern: Earlies: Two weeks 06:00-14:15 Lates: One week 14:00-22:45 Key Responsibilities: Earlies: Utilising an electronic maintenance scheduler to select, carry out, and sign off planned maintenance. Liaising with the customer operations team. Ensuring all building and maintenance schedules are met, either by the in-house engineering team or through organising subcontractors. Maintaining areas of the site with additional ad-hoc project work (power/data/plumbing). Overseeing and assuming responsibility for any specialist contractors on site, ensuring they work safely and to a high standard. Lates: Overseeing and maintaining the conveyor systems using the on-site SCADA. This includes dealing with any jams or issues, as well as mechanical and/or electrical fault finding and subsequent repairs. Additional Responsibilities: Regular PPM and shift cover for a mid-size conveyor used for both totes and master cartons Weekly testing of the site sprinkler system. Site-wide lighting maintenance. General upkeep and repairs on site plumbing. Basic level control and fault finding of the fire alarm system. Ad-hoc works/project work. Maintenance of bay doors and dock levellers. General building maintenance. Ideal Candidate: In order to be considered, you'll need to have a few things in your background: Electrically biased - There is no need for 18th Edition, but it is expected that you will carry some form of official electrical training Mechanical maintenance experience. Experienced within site and automation maintenance (ideally conveyors). Computer literate and comfortable recording activities and updating the engineers on the opposite shift. On-Call Requirements: There is an on-call 1 week in 4, which you'll be paid for if you are called out (which is very rare - only 3 times last year). You'll also receive a minimum of 4 hours' pay, even if the issue is resolved in 15 minutes. Additional overtime may be available depending on site requirements, but this isn't a prerequisite.
