Quality Assurance Manager

Reporting to the Site Technical Manager, the purpose of the Quality Assurance Manager is to manage the day to day activities of the Technical team to ensure Dairygold delivers a quality, authentic, legal and food safe product, in line with customer specification.

Key responsibilities for this role are:

• Manage the QA team to ensure compliance to Legality, Quality Systems and HACCP Principles.
• Support the development of the QMS to meet customer, company and regulatory bodies.
• Ensure the HACCP system is being followed throughout the site and colleagues are challenged on CCP s and attend HACCP meetings where required.
• Maintain and develop a robust non-conformance reporting system.
• Ensure calibration, validation and verification is completed as per schedule.
• Conduct internal audits.
• Oversee site pest control visits and ensure that all actions raised are followed up within required timescales.
• Manage and conduct all product and environmental sampling plans.
• Conduct Technical risk assessment to control food safety risks.
• Lead site audits/visits from customers and accreditation bodies as required, including site tour and QMS review.

• Significant experience of food manufacturing processes, including H&S, Quality, Legality and HACCP
• Significant experience of managing and implementing quality systems and processes and supporting internal and external audit processes
• Understands how to add value to both the internal and external customer
• Takes pride in work and demonstrates excellent accuracy and attention to detail
