As the Business Support Officer (staffing) you will bolster the provision of comprehensive administrative and systems support to service including the coordination and provision of various returns to both internal and external departments including Human Resources and the Council s Payroll provider.
You will support operational managers to manage their staff members by providing advice guidance and signposting them to the various HR policies and procedures. You will also bolster the links between operational managers and our colleagues within the Corporate Payroll Team in order to help resolve payroll related matters and or disputes.
To excel in this role, you will need to be an excellent communicator with an ability to forge strong working relationships with operational staff, managers and colleagues across the various support services for example within the HR Business Partnering and Payroll team.
You must be adept at dealing with challenging situations in a sensitive manner and be able to use IT systems effectively. You will have a strong commitment to ensuring we meet our obligations under the General Data Protection Regulations including maintaining confidentiality around staff related issues.
