Private Client Associate

Job Title: Private Client Solicitor Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 Location: West Sussex A fantastic opportunity has arisen with my client, a leading law firm based in East Sussex. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Private Client Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join a growing Private Client department. We are seeking candidates with 3+ years PQE who are looking to join a highly reputable firm as part of an ambitious growth strategy. Duties include: Day to day conduct of matters on behalf of clients in respect of all private client matters including wills, trusts, probates and administration of estates and lasting powers of attorney. Explaining complex legal matters to clients Financial control with regard to cashflow control through collection of monies on account and billing procedures To meet agreed time recording, billing and recovery of costs targets To develop and maintain client relationships To ensure the client is regularly informed of work in progress and continuing contact is maintained To exercise high standards of client care in a professional and pleasant manner at all times To take positive steps to ensure that existing clients are aware of the various types of legal work carried out by the firm To participate in marketing activities organised by the Marketing department and taking advantage of networking and business development opportunities To maintain Lexcel compliance and comply with all regulatory obligation The successful candidate will have: 3+ years PQE and prior experience working in a busy Private Client department. Knowledge of Wills, Powers of Attorney, and estate administration Ability to manage your workload A confident communicator with excellent client service skills A high degree of efficiency and accuracy Experience in marketing initiatives and promoting services Package: £55,000 - £65,000 23 days annual leave + BH 5%/5% pension contributions Life Assurance 4x salary Legal Services benefits Flexible working (60% in office 40% from home) Join this highly reputable firm that is one of Kent’s largest and oldest legal practices.
