Job Requirements / Description
About Us:
Black Income Creators (BIC) is Solor Limited company, dedicated to empowering the Black community to connect, collaborate, learn and thrive in their businesses and careers. Our founder, Maks, started the first Black Meetup community in London in 2006, and BIC is the online continuation of that legacy. We believe in the power of collaboration and are committed to making a lasting impact on the lives of our community.
We're excited to announce the upcoming launch of our new podcast, bringing insights from the best minds in the industry. We've interviewed incredible guests such as Emmanuel Asuquo, Ama Amo-Agyei, Courtney Daniella Boateng and Peter Komolafe.
The Role:
We are looking for an Events Host/Salesperson who has a deep understanding of the Black community. Your primary role will be to host networking events designed for the Black community and promote ticket sales both online and offline. This role is primarily commission-based; however, you will also receive payment for the 2-4 hours spent hosting our events. Commision-wise, you will earn on all sales, not just the ones you make. This position is perfect for someone who loves hosting events, is outgoing, and wants to make extra income while contributing to the growth and success of the Black community.
Benefits:
* Attend networking events, talks, and experience days for free.
* Bring your flair to hosting while letting us handle the event planning and logistics.
* Scope for increased earnings with affiliate opportunities.
* Gain visibility and connections within the community.
* Earn on all sales: you'll make 35% from the tickets you sell and 25% from the tickets we sell.
Key Responsibilities:
* Host and facilitate monthly networking events.
* Collaborate with us to sell event tickets.
* Engage with the community, promoting future events to maximise ticket sales.
* Get involved; although we'll take care of the planning, we would love for you to recommend your favourite event spaces, bars, restaurants and experiences in your area.
* Bring your flair to hosting and help us make it an unforgettable event!
Requirements:
* Must be based in Birmingham.
* Knowledgeable and passionate about the Black community and culture.
* Comfortable with both online and offline marketing.
* Outgoing, personable, and enjoys hosting events.
Desirable Skills:
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Sales experience, especially in event ticket sales or a similar area.
* Strong social media presence or marketing skills (via your personal channels)
* Confidence in hosting.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
If you're a people person and love hosting monthly events, we'd love to hear from you!
