MERJE is seeking a highly experienced Group Chief Risk Officer for a leading insurance company. This pivotal role involves overseeing risk and compliance aspects across the group, ensuring regulatory adherence, and contributing to strategic decision-making. The Role As Group Chief Risk Officer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive risk and compliance frameworks across the organisation. This senior position reports directly to the CEO and plays a crucial role in shaping the company's strategic direction while ensuring regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities of the Group Chief Risk & Compliance Officer: Oversee risk and compliance aspects for all group companies, holding SMF4 and SMF16 responsibilities under SM&CR Lead the ORSA process and maintain appropriate risk frameworks across the group Develop and implement compliance programmes to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements Provide governance advice and support across the organisation Act as the key point of contact for regulatory communications and reporting Required knowledge and experience for the Group Chief Risk & Compliance Officer role: Extensive understanding of the UK and EU General Insurance and Life insurance markets Minimum 5 years' experience in senior risk management or compliance roles Proven leadership expertise across risk and compliance disciplines Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex documents and policies Excellent communication skills and ability to influence at executive level If you are an experienced risk and compliance professional seeking a challenging role in a dynamic insurance environment, apply now for the Group Chief Risk Officer position. _________________________________ Applicants must be located and eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship.
