Database Engineer (m/w/d)

Referment is working with a top performing hedge fund who have an exciting opportunity available in their Database Engineering team for a PostgreSQL Database SME in London. As the firms technology stack evolves, there is an rapidly growing PostgreSQL estate to be maintained and the successful applicant will be responsible for taking ownership of this, whilst also being the main engineer to build and implement new PostgreSQL solutions for the firm. This is a chance to join a world renowned hedge fund where you will be the go-to person for PostgreSQL and you will get the chance to work on cutting edge cloud platforms, automation tools and a number of interesting projects. Expertise in PostgreSQL within both on prem and cloud environment is required to be considered for this role, as well as strong scripting skills with Python or similar. Expert knowledge of PostgreSQL features, functionality and optimization techniques including RDS and Aurora flavors Strong knowledge of data modelling across different database systems Strong knowledge of Linux Experience using Python for automation tasks Experience running applications and databases in containers (Docker, Kubernetes) Refer someone you know and earn up to £500 when they complete a face-to-face or video interview through Referment.
