Job Title: Mobile Building Services Maintenance Engineer Location: London and Surrounding Areas Salary: £45,000 + Company Van + Benefits Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent Hours: Monday to Friday (with occasional overtime and on-call shifts) About my client: My client a leading Facilities Management company specialising in providing comprehensive maintenance services across commercial, industrial, and public sector properties. They pride themselves on delivering high-quality services to their clients, and they have a very good reputation in the industry. The Role: As a Mobile Multi-Skilled Building Services Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining a range of mechanical, electrical, and fabric systems across multiple sites. This role requires flexibility, as you will travel between client locations in a company-provided van to deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs. You will be tasked with ensuring all systems are operating efficiently, minimising downtime, and ensuring compliance with relevant safety and building regulations. Key Responsibilities: Perform PPM on mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, power systems, and building fabric. Carry out reactive maintenance and emergency repairs across various sites to ensure continuous operation of building systems. Diagnose faults in HVAC systems, electrical circuits, and mechanical components, and provide prompt repairs or recommend further action. Maintain and repair pumps, motors, air-handling units (AHUs), fan coil units (FCUs), boilers, lighting, and power distribution systems. Perform general building maintenance tasks, such as painting, plastering, basic plumbing, and fabric repairs. Adhere to health and safety standards, ensuring all work is carried out safely and compliant with regulations. Accurately log all work, keeping records of services, repairs, and equipment inspections. Liaise with clients to provide clear communication on work carried out, maintenance schedules, and any potential improvements. Participate in an on-call rota to attend to urgent breakdowns outside of regular hours.Key Requirements: City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering. Proven experience in multi-skilled building services maintenance, with a focus on HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems. Knowledge of F-Gas regulations (desirable, though not essential). Strong ability to diagnose and repair faults on mechanical and electrical systems. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification (desirable for electrical bias roles). Good understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices. Full UK driving license is essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
