Role: Geotechnical Engineer

Our client, a leading contractor based in Central Scotland, is looking to expand their team and is seeking Geotechnical Engineers at all levels to join an exciting renewable energy project in the North of Scotland. With expertise in geotechnical investigations, drilling, and blasting, this well-established company offers an opportunity to be part of a high-profile project.
This role is based near Peterhead, so applicants should either reside locally or be willing to work in the area.
As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a key role in the team, with responsibilities including:
- Assisting with site investigations and planning.
- Coordinating with management to implement project strategies.
- Preparing design calculations, drawings, technical documents, and reports, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Verifying the accuracy of plans, drawings, and quantities.
- Conducting inspections, feasibility studies, and cost estimates.
- Maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Providing support to the team as required.
- Liaising with clients, third parties, and other stakeholders to address queries.
Requirements:
- Relevant geotechnical engineering qualifications (HND/C or Degree).
- Experience as a Geotechnical Engineer in a civil engineering environment.
- Site investigation experience is an advantage.
- Knowledge of CAD or ground modelling is desirable.
- Valid CSCS card.
- Full UK driving licence.
