Our Geoscience team: Venterra’s Geoscience team is made up of market-leading experts from Ordtek, GDG, and Partrac. We offer unparalleled site characterisation, geoscience management, sediment processes, UXO management, and GIS and data services, tailored to meet the comprehensive needs of our clients. Our Design Team: Venterra's Design team incorporates the design and analysis of foundations and substations for Floating and fixed Offshore Wind, Monopiles and Jackets, T&I, Onshore and Offshore substation design and Onshore Renewables. Our Advisory Team: Venterra's Advisory team incorporates those services which are offered to wind farm developers at the early DEVEX stages. Services such as Grid Advisory & Infrastructure Security, Development and Market Intelligence, Government Advisory, Business Case and Commercial Support, Due Diligence, Wind Resource & Energy Yield Analysis and Project & Package Management. The HSSEQ Manager will measure and report progress and be highly effective at driving forward the HSSEQ strategy and programme. Key responsibilities: Working with key members of the Venterra teams and with the Venterra Group functional HSSEQ team: To ensure that applicable HSSEQ legislation and best practice is understood and applied to ensure organisational compliance throughout project delivery and within respective service line facilities. Development, review and continual improvement of the HSSEQ Management System. Co-ordination, implementation and maintenance of all project HSSEQ documentation in accordance with the HSSEQ Management System. Compliance with Client specific HSE programmes, initiatives or other external certification schemes. Provide expert advice on health, safety, and environmental matters in both onshore and offshore environments. Provision of operational HSE support to relevant worksites, mobilisation sites and vessels as required. Monitoring and reporting on project HSSEQ performance, ensuring any potential deficiencies or urgent matters are brought to the attention of management. To manage internal and external audits, along with conducting verification activities to maintain operational HSSEQ compliance. To produce and deliver HSE inductions and associated project related HSE training, ensuring active learning and distribution of critical HSE information. To monitor and advise / report on areas of non-compliance to legislation or adherence to the HSSEQ Management System. To monitor and oversee that all HSSEQ actions are suitable registered, monitored and closed out in a timely manner. To be responsible for the process of identification, recording, investigation and follow up of HSSEQ related incidents and accidents. Participation in the process for managing Sub-Contractor HSEQ performance. To continually promote and support improvements to HSSEQ culture and values of the business and its Clients. Supporting in design, delivery and ongoing enterprise risk management activities and emergency response procedures. Proactive engagement with Client HSSEQ teams to ensure a collaborative approach and alignment to HSSEQ management on contracts with potential need for interfacing on studies, workshops, investigations, reporting, data gathering and general client liaison. To oversee and participate where required in project or site risk management processes in conjunction with project teams. To participate in tender / project risk review processes. Development of HSE material and campaigns for the purposes of knowledge sharing and promotion of best practices. Review and prepare analytics for leading and lagging indicators and identify/report any trends, ensuring that there is appropriate response to prevent future occurrence. Conduct and support HSE Leadership Visits to Client Sites onshore and offshore where applicable. To ensure HSSEQ performance data is accurate and available for inclusion within relevant reports within Venterra and externally as required. To provide input into the HSSEQ functional annual budget planning process. Requirements: 5 Years in discipline related role Industry experience Health and Safety Diploma (NVQ Level 6) or equivalent qualification / experience Chartered Member of IOSH Experience and understanding of ISO Management Systems and Standards, HSE Legislation / Regulations, Risk Management Application, Auditing, Inspection, Incident Management and Emergency Response IT skills, including Microsoft Office packages Strong presentation skills and ability to provide training / coaching Willingness to travel to worksites as required and work flexible hours to suit project requirements. Fluent in English (both written and oral). Enthusiastic attitude, excellent communication skills and works well in teams. Able to adapt quickly to a fast-moving environment.
