Depot Manager

We're looking for a talented Depot Manager to work for our client. They want to recruit someone with demonstrable experience of overseeing daily operations, preferably from a freight/courier background. If that's you then you could be exactly what they're looking for. ---- The Role: As the Depot Manager you will be responsible for the Fleet Manager who manages the drivers. We currently operate about 20+ routes. The Warehouse Manager manages 6 warehouse staff. However, the Depot Manager needs to ensure these roles are operating effectively. In additional the day to day running of the depot, which would need a flexible and someone who is a people manager. ---- The Candidate: The ideal candidate for this Depot Manager role will have relevant experience of overseeing daily operations. You'll also need experience of: - Vehicle route planning and maintenance - Staff management - Warehouse management - Vehicle and site management - Hand held devices In addition, you'll need the following: - A valid UK driving license - Previous experience in the field (courier/Freight) - The right to work in the UK - A flexible attitude and a team player - The ability to develop good working relationships with colleagues and suppliers Does that sound like you?
