We are delighted to be resourcing a Assistant Quantity Surveyor for a Civil Engineering contractor, who partner with the UK’s leading infrastructure solution providers, solving environmental and sustainability challenges for water companies, local authorities, and government organisations. The role In this role, the successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the Cost & Project Management business requirements. You will engage in the full range of commercial and contractor support and work across multiple Civil Engineering projects across the North West. Other duties include: Managing costs on a wide variety of projects. Offer strategic guidance to clients, including prioritising spending, outsourcing to subcontractors. Prepare budgets and estimates and manage onsite costs. Undertaking costs analysis for repair and maintenance project work. Performing risk and value management and cost control. Advise on procurement strategy. What are we looking for? Requirements: Planning and time management skills Good understanding of civils and construction, ideally with pipeline experience Knowledge of NEC3 and 4 Problem solver with construction knowledge IT skills - competent Microsoft packages included Excel and Project Ability to work under pressure to achieve deadlines
